Tom Feeney's Statement on the Liberal's Out-Of-Touch Budget

Tom Feeney (R-Oviedo) today released the following statement after out of touch San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Democrats released their fiscally irresponsible 2009 budget:

"While Florida's hardworking families are facing skyrocketing insurance costs, high gas prices, and increasing property taxes, out of touch San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi has decided to place the largest tax increase in American history on their shoulders. I'm hard pressed to find someone out there who believes that unelected bureaucrats spend taxpayer dollars better than the hardworking Americans themselves.

"Hardworking American taxpayers and future generations deserve real, long-term solutions to keep America prosperous. In addition to raising taxes on 116 million taxpayers, the Democrat budget also once again fails to address entitlement reform. At the expense of our children and grandchildren, dogged Democrats seem determined to return to the days of high taxes and stagnant economic growth," said Feeney.
